Pollen is a 4 letter word
Saturday, March 31st, 2007The shaking earth you feel is the entire state of North Carolina sneezing. It is pollen season and everyone here is sniffling. Living in the Ohio Valley my entire life, I know about allergies and asthma, but I’ve never seen pollen accumulating as it does here.
It’s not unusual to have almost a 1/2 an inch of yellow “dust” covering the cars, porches, and roads. The girls have even come in from the outside with a yellow coating.
So, if you feel a tremble in the next few weeks, it’s just your Southern neighbors enjoying the spring season.
