Complete Duh!
Okay, I must be losing my comprehension for directions – maybe because I read them so infrequently… I have been working on adding the YackPack widget to my wikispace and am having zero luck.
Maybe, I’m wanting something that YackPack can’t offer. I’d like for people to leave messages on the wikspace. I’ve tried embedding and linking. All I can do now is link and you will be taken to the YackPack group.
Anyone know what the heck I’m doing wrong??
Until next time ~ Danita

Hi Danita
I just tried to put a yackpack on our wikispace and it worked.
Are you pasting the yackpack code into the wikispace using the button on the visual editor that looks like a tv screen?
Save that then save your wiki page.
Good luck!

Scotch that last comment please! Yackpack is having trouble allowing you to log on at the moment! That’s why it’s not working properly.

I put one on classblogmeister and our principal put one our website, a paid site. Bud Hunt put one on PBwiki. The problem I am having is the echo effect. Anyone else overcome this problem? I just copied the code from their page.

Hi Durff,
The echo is usually a result of having more than one window open to the same widget. What happens is that your microphone picks up your own output from another window, and passes it along — creating a bit of an echo chamber. If you can’t seem to get it to stop (often it’s just hidden in another tab, and you don’t realize it’s happening), closing all of your browser windows will usually do the trick. Then you can open up a single one and get going again.
