One cool cat

Vicki Davis, aka: Cool Cat Teacher, has done it once again. She has now found an excellent use for YouTube in the classroom. From Vicki’s blog:

You tube is an incredible tool waiting for a use. There are already GREAT videos out there for classrooms. If you don’t believe me, look at the 2nd place wiki for the k12 online conference about math videos. They include so many videos aligned with math standards — I used the one about exponents for my SAT math review!

Now, how cool is that? Another great use of web2.0. Wonder how much begging it will take for me to talk our IT gurus into unblocking YouTube? Anyone have a pair of good kneepads I can borrow?

Until next time ~ Danita

I agree! Great treasures abound if you can dig through the other “stuff” on YouTube. By the way, it is not blocked here. I have an account and use it to put our kids videos on the Tube and our wiki.

Remember that you can set up your own channel — mine is at http://www.youtube.com/coolcatteacher — and have them just unblock that URL.
