NC Science Blogging Conference

This Saturday I’m attending a first time get together in Chapel Hill -North Carolina Science Blogging Conference.

The North Carolina Science Blogging Conference1, Saturday, January 20, 2007. This is a free, open and public event for scientists, educators, students, journalists, bloggers and anyone interested in discussing science communication, education and literacy on the Web.

Sounds pretty exciting, huh? Well, the even more exciting part is that I am taking 2 of my science teachers who are just beginning to blog. I’m hoping the idea will light their fire and that it will spread like – well, for lack of better terms, a wildfire.

As bonus to all this, is that I read David Warlick’s blog tonight and found out he is going to attend. Now, I ask you, is there a better way to spend a Saturday?

Until next time ~ Danita

I liked the idea of listening to a blog post as I teach younger children who sometimes have difficulty reading more complex posts. I followed your link to Talkr but after a good deal of trying still can’t make the required feeds work in the Blogger template- do you yourself or do you know of anyone who has done this who could help me.
