Tuesday night Women of Web2.0 chat/skype conference

Last night I had the pleasure of being a part of the Women of Web2.0 chat room discussion with Leslie Fisher. What a great experience.

Leslie chated for almost 2 hours. She listed and discussed her top 5 tech toys. You know she had us enthralled! Who among us is not a tech geek? I love ‘em. Big or small, it doesn’t matter. As long as it’s a tech gadget, I want it. I thought that when I left the classroom, our checking account would immensely grow. But, alas, no. I don’t buy as much, but now my “toys” are more expensive.

Leslie even took the time to clarify some products for us. She educated us on why you might need an second digital camera, the difference between DLP and plasma tvs, and tons of other interesting information. All the links are at the Women of Web2.0 wiki.

Women of web2.0 is a great collaboration of several women. Vicki Davis of coolcatteacher (who is a fabulous inspiration to us all), Cheryl Oakes( author of http://www.wocsdtechtalk.blogspot.com), Sharon Peters (http://www.mtl-peters.net/blog writer), and Jennifer Wagner (who writes technospud, another great blog). You couldn’t ask for a better combination of tech gurus to host chats. Last week, David Warlick was there, but I wasn’t able to catch that chat. Darn! But, I can listen to the recorded podcast. I love web2.0!

There was a wiki for us to add to during the chat. All of Leslie’s links are there so if you couldn’t make it last night, you can catch everything that happened.

Now, if you will excuse me, I have a very important letter to compose.

Dear Santa,

I have been good all year. Please bring me …..

Until next time ~ Danita

Glad you got to be there. I was sorry I wasn’t able to attend last night b/c of coming in late from Disney. I’ve been looking at the gadgets though and they are so cool!
