There are many things in life that I am thankful for, but high speed Internet is near the top of my list right now. I just returned from spending time at my in-laws in Atlanta, Georgia. I love my in-laws, but they are on dial-up - ’nuff said.
We spent 2 [...]

Tuesday night Women of Web2.0 chat/skype conference

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006

Last night I had the pleasure of being a part of the Women of Web2.0 chat room discussion with Leslie Fisher. What a great experience.
Leslie chated for almost 2 hours. She listed and discussed her top 5 tech toys. You know she had us enthralled! Who among us is not a [...]

Chuckle for a Wednesday

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

I just read MS_Teacher’s blog describing the 13 things that her students do that annoy her. Very funny, if you can relate to a middle school teacher. But, then again, we are a different breed. I would swear that the kids get together and plot to do these things intermittently just to [...]

Great News!

Friday, December 8th, 2006

WOW! We received the 8th grade computer test results for 2 of my middle schools today. One school, that is finished testing all their students, scored a 70% passing. Now, that might not excite you, but last year we only had 50% pass. See, why I’m so excited!
The other school, that [...]

I couldn’t help, but to pass this on. From EduBlog Insights:

Interesting Day

Monday, December 4th, 2006

Today was an interesting day. It started with me reviewing for the computer skills test at the alternative school in our county. Everything was going fine, until I was walking the students to their next class. I had 5 kids in front of me and had one behind me tying his shoe [...]
