End of review
Today, I finished my computer test review with the 8th graders at East Lee and West Lee. I taught the same lesson 32 times! I did add a bit here and there, but basically it was the same lesson. Whew!
West Lee has been testing all week and East Lee begins next week. I do believe the students are as prepared as possible. Toward the end of preparation, the kids were getting a bit bored with the review. Most of them had seen the same material – or something very similar – before and were tired.
Thanksgiving is upon us and Christmas will be here soon. The year is flying by! I’m trying to concentrate on what I have to be thankful. Too often I take for granted my family, friends, health, and job. I plan to take the time this year to focus on what is really important in life.
I’m truly enjoying my new position and am learning so much daily. The technology conference is the week after Thanksgiving. I’m so excited! I’m a conference geek ;o) I love to listen to the presentations and spend time in the exhibit hall. This will be my first technology conference, so I’m not entirely sure what to expect. Guess I’ll find out soon.
Kim Collazo had a very interesting blog post. She was addressing the downside of professional development sessions as we do them now – “spray and pray”. You should check it out. Great read. She has switched from the Dark Side and come over to Edublogs. Her new blog is:
